The Model in Action

You provide the grit.

We provide the tools, the exposure, and the network.

Selection

Rigorous selection. Mutual commitment.

The Mighty Minds Movement is a demanding, highly structured three-year journey designed to turn academic promise into lifelong leadership.

We look for teenagers from under-resourced communities who consistently perform at 75% and above, particularly in STEM (Mathematics, Physical Science, Life Sciences) and English. But grades are just the baseline. We select for integrity, resilience, and a genuine desire to lift others.

We identify students either by direct referral from our current scholars or through our partner schools. Crucially, our selection process is scholar-led: future leaders evaluate future leaders. This is followed by an in-depth conversation with our board. Finally, we hold a dedicated conversation with your family to ensure they understand the commitment and are ready to support you.

Workstreams

Real responsibility. Real growth.

Leadership cannot be taught purely in theory. If you join us, you actively help build and run the Mighty Minds Movement by taking on real operational roles within a rigorous adult governance structure.

To manage this, we teach you OKRs (Objectives and Key Results), the professional goal-setting framework used by top global companies to track progress, hit deadlines, and deliver under pressure.

The Three-Year Blueprint

From Grade 10 to global horizons.

Beyond potential. A three-year blueprint for excellence.

Grade 10 I.

The Foundation

Integration into the Mighty Minds Movement. You step into your first Workstream Operator role, learn how to set professional OKR goals, and establish a consistent weekly study rhythm with your peers. You also begin your exposure to the professional world through your first job-shadowing placements.

Grade 11 II.

Stepping Up

You can advance to a Workstream Lead role, taking ownership of your department and training newer scholars. You continue to expand your horizons with more advanced week-long job-shadowing at tier-1 firms to prepare for your professional future.

Grade 12 III.

The Transition

While continuing to lead, your focus shifts towards maintaining top marks, executing university applications, and mastering scholarship interviews to secure your next steps. You will also participate in targeted job-shadowing to help finalise your career direction.

Discipline & Access

Structure meets exposure.

Academic Consistency

Good intentions are not enough to win top university spots. Our mandatory Monday study sessions build the solid academic habits required to excel. When a scholar faces a hurdle, peer tutoring and senior mentorship provide immediate, relatable support.

02

The Pathways Series & Corporate Immersions

We shatter the ceiling on what you believe is possible. Through our live online Pathways Series, you interact directly with global executives and entrepreneurs. Through week-long corporate immersions at organisations like Webber Wentzel, Yoco, and Mediclinic, you experience real-world professional standards firsthand.

Shared Experience

The hikes. The dinners. The trips that bond us.

The Mighty Minds Movement is built on standards, but it is also built on shared experience. From Table Mountain and Robben Island to the Norval Foundation and Hermanus, our scholars do not just study and work together, they travel, reflect, celebrate, and grow together. The hikes, the dinners, and the trips help turn ambition into belonging.

Community

It takes a village.

Excellence does not happen in isolation. No scholar rises alone.

We partner closely with parents and guardians to maintain an environment of trust, clear communication, and care. Families play a vital role by providing the structure and time at home necessary for our scholars to focus on their academics and Movement responsibilities.

Alumni

When one of us rises, we all rise.

Our scholars are the true engine of the Mighty Minds Movement. And that momentum does not stop at Matric.

Our alumni have not simply moved on; they have remained part of the Mighty Minds Movement. Whether studying in Berlin, practising corporate law at a top-tier law firm, or building new ventures, they continue to mentor the next cohort, open new internships, and serve on our Board of Directors. Our aim is to build each generation to be stronger than the last.
